Sophie Black writer and radio producer

Sophie Black

I have appeared in a number of TV and radio comedies including 10 O’Clock Live, Anna and Katy (above) and Lee Kern’s Celebrity Bedlam (all on Channel 4).

Most recently I wrote a pilot for a sitcom set in a drama school called The Actor’s School with Fergus Craig.

You can watch the pilot here.  The idea came from a series of improvised interviews we made for BBC Three:

Devon Cornwall – Ireland’s leading ‘sexpert’ shares his secrets in seduction.

Nigel Peter St John – the renowned dialect coach perfects accents from scouse to Irish to Martin Luther King

Nigel Peter St John Part 2 – the renowned dialect coach has worked with everyone from Daniel Day Lewis to Adam Woodyatt.

Dean Holliday – stepping out the shadows with a professional silhouette.

Nicaragua Turnstile – a film buff talks about sharing a flat with his favourite endangered species

Mock Tudor Films

In 2010 I set up Mock Tudor Films with Holly Walsh, Andrew Chaplin and Lucy Forbes. This is Single White Feline, a film we wrote and produced in 2011.  It got over 3 million hits online.
